Announced in August 2024, AXA's acquisition of Gruppo Nobis was finalized on 1 April 2025. The transaction was approved by the European Commission in November 2024.The deal was initially valued at 423 million EUR (457.6 million USD), followed by an earn-out of up to 55 million EUR (59.5 million USD).
This acquisition is expected to reduce the AXA Group's Solvency II ratio by 1 point in the second quarter of 2025.
Founded in 2008, Nobis is an Italian insurance company specializing in personal property and casualty insurance. The insurer closed the 2024 financial year with a turnover of 600 million EUR (624.9 million USD) and a net profit of 34 million EUR (35.4 million USD).
