Bupa Global opens office in Nairobi

Bupa Global, a British health insurance company, has obtained approval from the Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA) to open an office in Nairobi, Kenya. This is Bupa Global's first office on the African continent.

The insurer sees Kenya as a key growth market for its international private health insurance strategy.

The Nairobi office will provide a wide range of insurance products for SMEs, individuals, corporate clients and expatriates. Policyholders will also have direct access to a global network of healthcare providers.

The new structure will be led by Uditha Jayaratne.
