Continental Re makes new management appointments

Continental Re has made a number of new appointments to its top management team.

Lawrence Mutsunge Nazare has been appointed Group Managing Director of Continental Reinsurance Holdings, based in Botswana. This appointment follows the end of his term as Managing Director of Continental Reinsurance Plc, Nigeria in December 2024.

Paul Kokoricha and Steve Iwenjora are joining L. Nazare in Botswana as Chairman and Non-Executive Director, respectively.

Fatai Kayode Lawal succeeds L. Nazare as Managing Director/CEO of Continental Reinsurance Plc, Nigeria, the entity handling operations in English-speaking West Africa. The appointment took effect in April 2025.

The Nigerian entity also welcomed three new Non-Executive Directors:

• Segun Adebanji: Chairman and Non-Executive Director
• Funmilayo Omokhodion: Non-Executive Director
• Eno Atoyebi: Non-Executive Director
