On 1 April 2025, Covéa received approval from the relevant authorities for the sale of its US subsidiary CSE Group to Compre Group Holdings, a Bermudan group specializing in reinsurance.
The transaction involves CSE Group's two personal lines companies in California, which ceased underwriting new business in 2024.
The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed. This marks the second transaction between the two organizations, following Compre's acquisition of Covéa's Irish subsidiary Medical Insurance Company (MIC) in 2023.
