Faker Rais, new CEO of BNA Assurances

At its meeting held on 23 May 2025, the Board of Directors of BNA Assurances appointed Faker Rais as Chief Executive Officer. He succeeds Mohamed Skander Naija, who is leaving the company. The appointment took effect on 10 June 2025.

F. Rais holds a Master's degree in Finance from the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management of Sfax and a Master's degree in Insurance Management from the Arab Maghreb Development Finance Institute (IFID).

The new CEO brings over 36 years of experience in insurance, reinsurance, and finance, having held key positions both in Tunisia and internationally.

He began his professional career in 1989 with Best Re, the former offshore reinsurer based in Tunisia.

He went on to hold roles at Labuan Re in Bahrain and United Cooperative Assurance (UCA) in Saudi Arabia.

In 2021, he joined BNA Assurances (formerly known as AMI Assurances) as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, before being promoted to Deputy CEO in 2023.
