Generali closed the first three months of 2025 with a turnover of 26.541 billion EUR (28.7 billion USD), up by 0.6% over one year.
Life premiums amounted to 16.174 billion EUR (17.5 billion USD), against 10.367 billion EUR (11.2 billion USD) for the non-life business. The combined ratio improved by 1.3 points to 89.7%, compared with 91% in the first quarter of 2024.
The operating result climbed by 8.9% to 2.067 billion EUR (2.2 billion USD).
The Italian group's quarterly net profit reached 1.204 billion EUR (1.3 billion USD), reflecting a 7.6% growth compared to the same period in 2024.
Generali's shareholders' equity stood at 31.121 billion EUR (33.7 billion USD) at end-March 2025. The group also reaffirmed its robust capital position, with a solvency ratio of 210%.
