Mapfre closed the 2024 financial year with insurance revenue of 33.2 billion EUR (34.5 billion USD), up by 3% over one year.
The volume of written and accepted premiums stood at 28.1 billion EUR (29.3 billion USD), compared with 26.9 billion EUR (29.7 billion USD) at the end of 2023, reflecting a 4.5% growth.
Non-life premiums totaled 22.1 billion EUR (23 billion USD), against 6 billion EUR (6.3 billion USD) for the life business. The non-life combined ratio improved by 2.8 points to 94.4% (97.2% in 2023).
The Spanish group's net profit increased by 30.3% year-on-year from 692 million EUR (763.7 million USD) to 902 million EUR (939.5 million USD).
Shareholders' equity stood at 8.5 billion EUR (8.9 billion USD) at end-December 2024, while return on equity (ROE) amounted to 2.5 billion EUR (2.5 billion USD).
