New directive for handling death claims in Morocco

The Moroccan Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare (ACAPS) has published new guidelines governing the handling of death claims.

Insurers and reinsurers are required to process compensation claims diligently and settle them fairly, following a clear and precise procedure.

They are also called upon to remind the claimant of all the documents to be provided, as specified in the death insurance contract.

Insurance and reinsurance companies must comply with the new directive no later than 1 July 2025.
