Omani listed insurers: 2024 results

The eight Omani listed insurers ended 2024 with insurance revenue of 644.5 million OMR (1.7 billion USD), up by 8.7% over one year, according to Insurance Monitor.

Investment income dropped by 15.7% to 28.7 million OMR (74.3 million USD).

Net profit generated by all the companies concerned amounted to 5.4 million OMR (14 million USD) as at 31 December 2024, showing a sharp 70% downtrend compared with the same period in 2023.

This decline was chiefly due to losses caused by the April 2024 floods in Oman and the United Arab Emirates.
