Possible introduction of compulsory homeowner's insurance in Morocco

The Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare (ACAPS) has commissioned ARM Consultants to carry out a study on making homeowner's insurance compulsory in Morocco.

This initiative aims to strengthen the protection of citizens against home-related risks such as (natural disasters.

The study will focus on assessing actual needs in terms of homeowner's insurance coverage. The analysis will also make it posible to take stock of the existing offers on the local market, and to draw on international experiences to develop a strategy tailored to the national context.

The implementation of a legislative framework and a roadmap will also be studied.
