Second increase in motor third-party liability rates in Algeria in 2025

The second 15% increase in compulsory motor third-party liability (TPL) insurance premiums has been implemented as of 1 July 2025.

This readjustment forms part of a broader 30% hike in motor liability rates announced in December 2024 by the Algerian Union of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies (UAR).

The increase is being rolled out in two phases, with the first 15% rise having taken effect on 1 January 2025.
