The Société Tunisienne d’Assurances et de Réassurances (STAR) reported a 7.4% year-on-year increase in turnover for the first half of 2025, reaching 252.67 million TND (88 million USD).
Non-life insurance premiums rose by 6.5% to 222.695 million TND (77.5 million USD), with the motor segment remaining the dominant line of business, accounting for 47% of the non-life portfolio.
Life insurance premiums reached 29.975 million TND (10.5 million USD), up 14.9%, driven primarily by savings products and temporary group life policies.
Claims paid during the period decreased by 4.8% to 133.55 million TND (46.5 million USD), largely due to a decline in motor claims.
Financial income grew by 17.2% over one year, amounting to 64.9 million TND (22.6 million USD).
