Yared Mola, new President of AIO

Yared Mola, CEO of Nyala Insurance and President of the Association of Ethiopian Insurers, has been elected President of the African Insurance Organisation (AIO). He succeeds Patty Karuaihe-Martin, Managing Director of NamibRe.

The appointment was announced during the closing ceremony of the 51st AIO Conference and General Assembly, held on 28 May 2025 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

A graduate of the University of Greenwich (UK), the Paris School of Business (France), and Addis Ababa University (Ethiopia), Mola brings over 30 years of experience in the insurance sector. He has served as CEO of Nyala Insurance since 2013.
