Alan acquires Tanel

French health insurance startup Alan is finalizing the acquisition of Tanel, a fully digital health insurance company based in Dakar, Senegal, with operations in Côte d’Ivoire. The terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

The acquisition marks Alan’s entry into the African market and forms part of its international expansion strategy.

Founded in 2021 by Mouhamed Ndoye and Makhtar Diop, Tanel provides companies with digital tools to manage health coverage for their employees.
