Britam acquires 30% stake in Continental Re (Kenya)

Britam Holdings, through its subsidiary Britam Life Assurance Company, has acquired a 30% stake in Continental Reinsurance Company (Kenya) Limited.

The transaction is valued at 763.78 million KES (5.9 million USD).

This information was disclosed in Britam's 2024 annual report.

This move is part of the Kenyan group's strategy to diversify its operations and strengthen its reinsurance portfolio.
